Ford's Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is leading the company's transition to a fully electric transportation future. As a Product Development Engineer for Audio Control Modules, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and validating in-vehicle audio features, services, and customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate high-performance automotive audio control modules for current and future vehicles.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of audio controller solutions.
- Manage suppliers through all aspects of product design and release.
- Perform audio system issue triage and resolution using CAN tools.
- Develop engineering documentation related to audio tuner and controller development.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation procedures to ensure audio controller performance meets standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in audio technologies and automotive audio trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in automotive audio amplifier development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Experience with product development methodologies, including Agile, and development tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN and A2B.
- Experience with simulation and analysis tools for amplifier development and evaluation, including Python.
