Description
We are seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer to join our team at Capital One. As a Full-stack Engineer 5, you will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company.
You will share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
- Collaborating with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions
- Utilizing programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript
- Providing technical leadership across multiple teams, shaping system architecture and long-term technology direction
- Driving end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale, distributed, or cloud-native systems
The basic qualifications for this role are:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms
The preferred qualifications for this role are:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 9+ years of experience coding with more than two of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala
- 5+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks
