Description
We are seeking a full-time Airport Access Control Specialist to perform administrative support work monitoring, coordinating, and verifying the airport badging system at Provo Airport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing access control activities and communications as per TSA requirements
- Coordinating activities and programs involving security access and ID media
- Communicating airport access rules and regulations to the public, employees, tenants, law enforcement personnel, and fire personnel
- Reviewing and ensuring all security-related operations are effective and in compliance with City Policy, FAA regulations, and TSA Part 1542
- Collecting, controlling, and processing fingerprints for criminal background checks
- Conducting basic searches for outstanding warrants on badge applicants
- Tracking access dates and denying access to expired badge holders
- Responding quickly and effectively to unanticipated inspections and tests conducted by the FAA, DHS, and TSA
- Updating and tracking the Airport Security Plan (ASP) in compliance with TSA standards
- Tracking changes to Airport Certification Manual (ACM) in compliance with FAA 14 CFR Part 139
- Filing and recording badging and security information
- Completing, reviewing, and retaining all reports, work records, and documentation related to security and badging

To be considered, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of technical clerical duties with computer data entry/retrieval and records management
- A valid driver's license
- The ability to obtain and hold an Airport Green Security Badge
The position operates on a 4/10 work schedule, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday at the Provo Airport.
