Data Scientist

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform, is seeking a Data Scientist. The company's mission is to increase the GDP of the internet.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale systems that handle billions of money movement requests
• Develop the next generation of Stripe products to meet high growth needs
• Analyse product requirements, user needs, and feedback to inform technical specifications
• Review API launches and library shapes to ensure quality standards
• Mentor early-career engineers and contribute to core engineering tenets and design principles

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of related work experience in data science or quantitative modeling
• Alternatively, Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, plus 7 years of related work experience in data science or quantitative modeling
• 4 years of experience with SQL, programming languages (Python or R), developing models, and translating complex data analysis into actionable business outcomes
• 3 years of experience designing and analysing production experiments
