Bachelor's Degree Level Paraprofessional

As a Bachelor's Degree Level Paraprofessional with The Menta Education Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

Responsibilities

• Substitute teach as needed and act as a paraprofessional
• Manage classroom behaviors and report behavioral concerns to staff
• Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data
• Maintain classroom order and safety, providing general supervision of students
• Assist in preventing and managing incidents of non-compliance and escalation in behavior
• Provide interventions to students to manage behaviors
• Think quickly, independently, and tactfully

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in an education-related field, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, social work, health and human services, kinesiology, or sports and physical education
• Substitute teacher certificate required
• Security or juvenile justice background helpful
• Military veterans encouraged to apply
• At least 23 years old
• Ability to work with high-risk special needs students
• Good driving record and willingness to drive student van preferred
