Actuarial Business Solutions Intern

We are seeking an Actuarial Business Solutions Intern to join our team at AIA Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City.

As an intern, you will report to the Actuarial Business Solutions Specialist and work on various projects to develop your skills in actuarial analysis, programming, and data-driven insights.

Learning Outcomes

• Gain basic understanding of modelling, product, and valuation
• Develop advanced actuarial programming skills using tools like Python, SQL, and Prophet
• Improve communication skills in a dynamic enterprise environment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Prophet modelling and deliver quarterly/year-end modelling and integration of new products
• Enhance documentation and guidelines for modelling processes
• Improve coding efficiency and runtime
• Provide business data-driven insights to support management decisions
• Develop and enhance dashboards to meet stakeholder requirements
• Document data usage and processes for new business intelligence tools
• Assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and implement automation solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (actuarial science, finance, mathematics, statistics)
• Prior actuarial or finance internship experience preferred
• Technical skills: Prophet, VBA, Python, SQL, R, Microsoft packages
• Soft skills: English fluency, good communication and presentation skills, teamwork, organisational skills
