Assistant Vice President – Post-Trade Systems – IT

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President – Post-Trade Systems – IT to lead the architectural design and end-to-end delivery of mission-critical post-trade systems.

This role involves leading system development, driving technical excellence, and delivering secure, resilient, and scalable solutions across the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading technical design and contributing to solution architecture for high-availability, high-throughput post-trade platforms and services
• Taking ownership of assigned projects and workstreams across the SDLC, ensuring quality and timely delivery
• Coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support delivery across multiple initiatives and priorities
• Driving engineering best practices in software design, coding standards, security, testing, and operational excellence
• Collaborating with technology and business teams to translate business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions
• Supporting production management of mission-critical systems, including incident investigation, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to the development of technical capabilities within the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in system design and software development
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java engineering, including API design, performance tuning, concurrency, and troubleshooting production issues
• Solid experience with microservice architecture, containers/Kubernetes, messaging/streaming technologies, Linux, and database technologies
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern DevOps toolchains, including CI/CD, automated testing, source control, and monitoring practices
• Experience working with vendors and knowledge of application security concepts would be an advantage
• Experience in full-stack development is an advantage, particularly with React.js or other modern frontend frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications in complex stakeholder environments
