Senior Game Designer - Legends (Apex Legends)

We are seeking a Senior Game Designer to join the Apex Legends team at Electronic Arts. As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for creating exciting and innovative new characters for Apex Legends. You will work on new Legends from early prototype through release, collaborating with other disciplines to develop the character concept, creating a playtestable prototype, and ensuring a high-quality release.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other disciplines to create character concepts
• Develop playtestable prototypes using existing assets
• Oversee character production, including tuning, polishing, and scripting
• Communicate the character vision to collaborators
• Ensure high-quality releases through bug fixing, balancing, and thematic cohesion
• Contribute to improving multiple aspects of Apex Legends
• Frequently playtest and provide high-quality feedback

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a game designer on a multiplayer game
• Experience in rapid prototyping and iterative design
• Understanding of game feel and polish
• Solid technical understanding of scripting and 3D action game fundamentals
• Strong track record in design and balance
• Familiarity with live games and a drive to improve them
