Description
We are seeking an experienced podiatrist to join our supportive and friendly team as a Band 7 Wound Lead Clinician. The successful candidate will provide high-quality wound care intervention for our community patients.
The role involves managing a small team, coordinating best patient care, sharing knowledge with the wider team, and presenting case discussions and research at team and MDT meetings. You will be responsible for clinical and domiciliary caseloads, remote monitoring via Minuteful for Wounds app, and regular contact with nursing teams.
The ideal candidate will have broad experience in wound care, be highly motivated, flexible, and able to line manage and work as part of a team. They will have excellent diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of podiatry interventions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing foot and ankle diagnosis and treatment
- Networking with an MDT approach
- Delivering best practice care with outstanding outcomes for patients
- Managing a small team and coordinating patient care
- Sharing knowledge with the wider team and presenting case discussions and research

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- Registration with the HCPC
- Postgraduate experience in wound care and line management
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and coordinate care
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Desirable qualifications and skills include:
- Postgraduate MSK qualification
- Local analgesia injection experience
- Experience in administering steroid injections
- Advanced MSK diagnostic skills
