As a Manufacturing Test Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that systems are tested to stringent standards, ensuring high-quality products are shipped to customers. You will also ensure production meets throughput requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensure production test flow.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues found during testing.
  • Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream.
  • Improve and sustain existing test systems to enhance automation, consistency, and test coverage.
  • Generate test work instructions for technicians and train them on equipment use.
  • Develop a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
  • Determine root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to support customer returns and failure analysis.
  • Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for new products.
  • Analyze test data and provide detailed reports.
  • Optimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
  • Experience with contract manufacturers in PCBA/electronic assemblies testing.
  • Knowledge of PCBA testing standards and methods.
  • Familiarity with electronics test equipment.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with PLM, MES, and TES systems.
  • Experience working on projects integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Pursuing a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, and/or MATLAB.
  • Experience with test automation, PCBA design, and mechanical design.
  • Experience with computer hardware communication protocols.
  • Experience with ESS-related testing.
  • Active Security Clearance.
