Description
Join Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany, as a HiL Development Engineer. You will develop complex dynamic Hardware-in-the-loop environments for the Formula 1 power unit, focusing on the power electronic domain.
Responsibilities:
- Create HiL models using MATLAB/Simulink for the Formula 1 power unit and integrate them into a full digital-twin vehicle model.
- Develop real-time models for power electronic components, including the high-voltage battery and power electronics.
- Design interface models to link control units with real-time systems.
- Test and validate embedded software for Battery Management System (BMS) and inverter ECUs on HiL systems.
- Analyze data to validate digital-twin PU models.
- Develop test automation and create measuring set-ups to validate HiL configurations.
- Collaborate with the Software Controls Team in daily HiL operations and provide support during race events.
Requirements:
- Completed studies in electrical/electrotechnical/power electronics engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, hardware-in-the-loop real-time systems, and modern vehicle control units.
- Knowledge of hybrid powertrains, high-voltage electrical systems, and application tools like Motion Applied toolchain and ETAS INCA.
- Agile work methods and Git workflows experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and implementation skills.
- Good command of English; German is recommended.
