Engineering Manager - Business Expense Management

As an Engineering Manager - Business Expense Management at Wise, you'll join a growing team that's expanding the way Business customers can use their Wise Account.

Your mission will be to create simple, easy-to-use experiences for a complex financial product that serves over 700,000 businesses across the globe.

You'll own everything related to the process of tracking, submitting, and managing business expenses as smoothly and hassle-free as possible.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust distributed backend systems
• Provide the best experience around collecting and managing receipts
• Submit expense reports and automate the enforcement of company spend policies
• Automate businesses' month-end processes leveraging LLM technologies
• Issue innovative business cards products
• Provide visibility over expenses for business owners and finance heads

Technical Responsibilities

• Own a technical roadmap to ensure that the application is maintained to high standards
• Lead the development of new solutions
• Serve as a technical expert for the Business Expense Managements domain
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, guiding the team on architectural design, code reviews, and best practices

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers
• Participate in product roadmapping and strategy sessions with the product management team
• Work closely with other Engineering Leads, Staff Engineers, and Product to shape the team's and squad's technical roadmaps
