Description
TGR Haas F1 Team, a stalwart of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Performance Group in Banbury, UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuous delivery of in-house software, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance. The role involves using .Net technologies to develop modern database, service layer, and client application solutions, as well as providing technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing full-stack solutions using .Net technologies
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
- Prioritizing requirements with the Head of Software Engineering
- Ensuring clarity and simplicity of code for robustness and future maintainability
- Collaborating with IT department to improve version control, continuous integration, and testing
- Improving the DevOps environment to increase delivery rate of high-quality products
- Responding to user support requests in a timely manner
- Providing race support on a rotation basis
The ideal candidate will have a minimum BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field, with substantial experience in software development, including experience with .Net technologies, C#, .NET, WPF, and SQL. Experience working in an Agile environment, high-level motorsport, time-series databases, Azure DevOps, Git, and McLaren Applied software solutions are beneficial but not essential.
