Seat Complete Engineer

As a Seat Complete Engineer at Ford, you will lead the integration of all components of the seat system, guiding the development of vehicle seats from scratch to complete industrialization and integration into the vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, release, and launch seat systems or components through GPDS (PRE-PSC to J1)
• Manage QWCT (Quality, Weight, Cost, Timing) for assigned parts
• Attend program-related meetings, including To4, Seat complete, EMMs, TDRMs, supplier meetings, and purchasing meetings
• Develop and execute Seat system/component-level Design Verification Plans, support vehicle/system-level DVP, and ensure compliance with all System Design Specifications (SDS) and Federal Regulations
• Create and maintain a timing/Gantt chart (PDP) for assigned parts and projects
• Keep a list of prevent recurrence actions/lessons learned/required design rules, and cascade to the core team
• Coordinate with other areas to ensure design intent meets all requirements
• Lead integration of seating components into the seat system

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering
• MS Office expertise, including Project
• Proficient English (reading, listening, and writing)
• Knowledge of seat system or component parts design and manufacturing
• Experience in product development and parts verification/validation
• Familiarity with FEDE, ADS, FSMS, GPDS, E2KS, and WERS systems
• FMEA knowledge and experience
• Ability to read and conceptualize 2D and 3D engineering drawings
• Teamcenter, Tc VisMockup, and CATIA (Basic) knowledge
• Excellent Spanish/English communication skills
• Excellent graphical communication skills
• Ability to explain complex engineering concepts to other areas
