Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our CIB Technology team, also known as the investment bank, in Kraków, Poland.
In this role, you will work on developing applications for a diverse set of FX services for financial institution clients, including FX Prime Brokerage services, FX Hedging services, and FX order management and execution.
Our systems are built using Java, deployed to Linux, and utilise SQL RDBMS such as Sybase, Oracle, or PostGres. The front-end uses a combination of Angular, React, and other JavaScript libraries.
As a hands-on and technical role, you will be expected to meet in the office twice a week and work collaboratively with colleagues in Guangzhou, Toronto, and London.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise project requirements
- Design, develop, and deploy microservices-based systems
- Ensure efficient performance, scalability, and design of systems
- Work closely with DevOps teams to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of systems
- Take ownership of production services, including monitoring and fixing issues as needed
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a Java full-stack engineer
- Strong understanding of microservices and Spring/Boot
- Proficiency with server-side languages such as Java, Node.js, Ruby, or Golang
- Experience with UI frameworks and technologies, such as JavaScript frameworks
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Degree in engineering, information systems, or a related field
- Prior experience in financial services or investment banking is highly valued
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to create clean, high-quality, and secure solutions
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and fluent in English
