Complex Claims Manager

As a Complex Claims Manager at Airbnb, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the integrity of the AirCover platform by identifying, investigating, and managing risk and mitigation strategies for complex and large loss claims.

You will manage partners to influence prioritization, drive accountability, and deliver improvements, and work with internal and external partners to resolve complex claims.

Your expertise should include:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of complex claims resolution, including techniques, investigative methodologies, and legal aspects
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Experience working with internal stakeholders and/or third-party providers to resolve complex disputes
• 10+ years of insurance claims coverage and litigation experience with an emphasis on liability and property
• Strong insurance policy experience

Responsibilities include:

• Managing and resolving complex and large loss claims
• Building partnerships with insurers and other stakeholders
• Crafting resolution plans for complex claims
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage emerging risks and threats
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members

This is a remote-eligible role based in Canada, with a salary range of $83,000-$98,000 CAD per year.
