Security Officer

We are seeking a part-time Security Officer to support the site at The Dolphin Centre, Poole. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of customers, buildings, and personnel.

Job Summary The successful candidate will provide operational support to deliver the agreed service level, assist the team, and support the delivery of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to deliver the agreed service level
• Assist the team by fostering team spirit and co-operation
• Support the delivery of SOPs and maintenance of documentation sets across the security team
• Assist in maintaining compliance with Health & Safety legislation
• Promote a secure and safe working environment on site
• Complete incident reports in the event of an incident
• Ensure complaints are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
• Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels
• Ensure all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational
• Liaise with the Centre Management Team and Security Supervisor

Requirements

• Experience of working within the Security Industry
• Holds SIA Security Licence – SG or DS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Adaptable and flexible in approach to work required
• Willingness and ability to work effectively within a team
• Proactive approach to learning in the role and identifying own training needs
• Can “do” attitude
• Excellent observational skills
