Description

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective.
  • Actively contribute to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise, best practice, and learnings.
  • Drive adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering.
  • Deliver and support data-related infrastructure and architecture to optimise data storage and consumption across the bank.
  • Design and develop applications for internal and external users, focusing on the interface and front-end usability.
  • Engineer and implement security measures for the protection of internal and external systems, networks, products, and services.
  • Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimise variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
  • Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service.
  • Ensure service resilience, service sustainability, and recovery time objectives are met for all software solutions.
  • Keep up to date with current tools, technologies, and areas like cyber security and regulations.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:

  • In-depth functional and non-functional knowledge of cloud platforms & native services, specifically GCP and ALI.
  • In-depth knowledge of container-based services and microservices architectures.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, modern deployment, and release methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable resilience and ‘can-do’ attitude.
