We are seeking a VP of Engineering for our Channels division, which is the action layer of the Braze technology platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-team division through its next stage of technical and product transformation
- Manage the team and help grow the organization, leading software engineering via architecture design, growing engineering teams and skillsets, setting vision and goals, process and protocol, and hiring
- Solve complex problems, from developing highly differentiated and sophisticated channel products to thinking about how to build and position the broad portfolio of channels
- Mature our systems into a more modular, efficient technology platform, while delivering best-in-class product
- Lead the organization through the AI transition: channel products that are increasingly intelligent and agentic, and an engineering org that leverages AI-assisted development to raise its own velocity and quality bar
Requirements:
- Several years of relevant experience as a manager of experienced managers with a strong track record of transformative success
- A durable, motivated, ambitious, high-energy leader
- A great people leader, capable of growing a world-class team
- A great technical leader, who can operate at different levels of granularity, from high-level vision to partnering on detailed technology decisions
- Deep credibility in large-scale distributed systems, with the ability to go toe-to-toe with senior engineers on architecture, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Fluent in AI-assisted engineering, with an informed point of view on how AI agents and tooling change the way engineering organizations build, operate, and are shaped
