The successful candidate will have a Master's degree and at least five years of school leadership experience with a proven track record of improving academic outcomes in math. The role involves supporting the team to ensure students achieve excellent results in math courses, designing rigorous learning experiences, and leading professional development for teachers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a math vision and strategy to deepen students' conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills
- Achieving annual academic goals in high school math
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support student learning
- Managing curriculum and assessment materials aligned with New York State Learning Standards
- Designing and leading professional learning trainings for school principals and teachers
- Observing instruction and developing leaders and teachers to ensure high-quality implementation
- Analyzing data to identify gaps and inform instruction
- Embracing a growth mindset and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
