Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will develop and implement plans of care to meet patient needs, apply modalities, and educate patients in home exercise programs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement plans of care to meet patient needs, including discharge planning and utilization of resources.
• Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic massage under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Educate patients in home exercise programs for various diagnoses.
• Supervise patient exercise programs on equipment.
• Assess and document patient medical needs and treatment.
• Clean treatment areas and stock supplies.
• Provide special exercise education classes.
• Assist with PT assistant student education and supervision.
• Provide coverage for the reception desk and order supplies.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a PTA in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.

Schedule:

• 36-hour position, Wednesday through Saturday, with 9-hour days.
• Flexibility to work up to 40 hours as needed.

Pay Range:

• $25.30 - $37.95 per hour
