Manager, Applied AI Cyber Specialists

Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for users and society. The Applied AI organization is building a dedicated Security team to help security customers use Claude responsibly.

You will build this team from zero, deciding which security customers to serve first, hiring and developing team members, and setting standards for responsible use of Claude. You will also stay hands-on with key customers, learning from their experiences to inform the team's approach.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, onboard, and develop Applied AI Architects on the Security team
• Decide where the team spends its time, prioritizing segments and account types
• Partner with security account executives on joint account plans and pipeline reviews
• Guide customers through evaluations and proofs of concept with written success criteria
• Work with security ISVs, systems integrators, and managed security providers
• Bring in Applied AI Engineers and security, legal, and trust teams when needed
• Write security playbooks, reference implementations, and evaluation approaches
• Carry strategic security accounts, from executive briefings to hands-on workshops

Requirements:

• 12+ years of industry experience with 4+ years managing a team of customer-facing technical people
• Hands-on security depth in at least one area, such as application security or vulnerability management
• Experience using LLMs for security work, such as code review or vulnerability discovery
• Ability to explain security risk and value to CISOs and engineers

The annual compensation range for this role is $1-$2 USD.
