Description
As a Cisco Hardware Engineer, you will develop and work with Next Generation Technology to build Cisco Hardware products, focusing on user experience and adherence to IEEE standards and industry best practices.
You will serve in various roles, including IP Creators and architects, Solution Integrators, and Solution Verification experts, driving innovation across Cisco's hardware portfolio, such as System/Board Design, Circuit Board Layout, Hardware Automation, Validation and Test, Signal Integrity, and Power Design.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and executing projects that span multiple teams
- Driving innovation on medium-to-large features from technical design through completion and mentoring others
- Developing and implementing the Hardware Engineering strategy within the group and Cisco
- Leading the innovation, design, and architecture of new hardware products, services, and solutions
- Optimizing product design by bringing together cross-functional teams and improving technical design
- Applying knowledge of the industry, end-user experience, and Cisco's ecosystem of products
- Reinforcing guidelines and standards within and outside of ownership
- Overseeing development of testing and issue resolution approaches
- Coordinating with stakeholders to address issues
- Developing approaches to verifying products against Cisco and industry quality standards
- Providing technical knowledge to engineering teams to support production, installation, and configuration of complex hardware products
- Mentoring peers and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of related experience, a Master's degree plus 6 years of related experience, or a PhD plus 3 years of related experience.
