Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
The AIS team is seeking experienced Rust developers to build out the software ecosystem supporting next-generation hardware platforms powered by cutting-edge System-on-Chip devices.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems, refactoring existing codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems, ranging from tactical implementations to simulation environments and decision support tools.
- Apply software design patterns and architectural best practices to manage technical debt and guide the evolution of production systems over time.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of production-grade Rust experience in a Linux development environment
- Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis
- Experience with network protocols and deeply familiar with networking fundamentals
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
- A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance, at a minimum.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with embedded platforms
- Experience refactoring and modernizing Rust codebases in production environments.
- Track record of architectural decision-making and technical leadership on long-lived projects.
- Contributions to open-source Rust projects or the broader Rust ecosystem.
- Experience with concurrent and parallel programming patterns in Rust.
The salary range for this role is $191,000-$253,000 USD per year. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. Additionally, Anduril offers top-tier benefits for full-time employees.
