Global Network Security Team Lead (Firewall & Network Security Operations)

We are seeking a Global Network Security Team Lead (Firewall & Network Security Operations) to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. As a leader in the automotive industry, Honda is constantly innovating and developing solutions to drive our business with record success.

The successful candidate will lead Honda's global Firewall Management team responsible for securing enterprise IT, manufacturing OT, connected products, and partner ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in firewall technologies, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, IPSec, IDS/IPS, and network security principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the global firewall management team through coaching, performance management, training, and workload prioritization.
• Define, implement, and enforce firewall standards, policies, and governance aligned with Honda cybersecurity requirements.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to design and deploy secure network architectures.
• Oversee firewall operations, performance monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure security, reliability, and availability.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution of firewall and network security issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 8 or more years in network security or infrastructure operations, including 2+ years leading technical teams.
• Expertise in firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, IPSec, IDS/IPS, and network security principles.
• Experience in incident response, risk management, and security operations.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and cloud security (e.g., Azure / AWS).
