Description
We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team at Holiday Inn Dulles. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations, and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service.
You will be scheduled to work the 3pm - 11pm PM shift, with availability to work Fridays and Saturdays required, as well as holidays as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner
- Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and process special requests
- Assist guests by having knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services
- Work as a team player in meeting guests' needs, and actively contribute to the efforts of other departments when necessary
- Follow B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group's guest service recovery program
- Maximize room revenues by following proper selling techniques and ensuring strategies are utilized
- Monitor room availability, follow restrictions, and all booking policies and procedures
- Drive sales and maximize revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities
- Adhere to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures when handling cash and processing financial transactions
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group, brand, local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years prior guest service experience required, preferably in a hospitality setting
- Excellent verbal communication skills needed
- Attention to detail, customer-focused, and the ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis
Additional Information: The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications, or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F.
