Description
As a Senior Product Manager within the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) cluster at Adyen, you will manage a key stream of our platform evolution.
Your goal is to transition our engineering organization from fragmented, "tribal knowledge" based flows to a cohesive, automated ecosystem that reduces cognitive load, minimizes manual toil, and ensures our platform scales with our global engineering footprint.
Responsibilities
- Optimize the SDLC: Drive initiatives to reduce SDLC friction, such as reducing CI flakiness and improving build insights, to help teams shift from centralized, manual processes to systemic, automated "golden paths".
- Drive Product Maturity: Take ownership of product lifecycle management by assessing the maturity of our toolset, executing on necessary deprecations, and ensuring our core products have clear adoption paths and value propositions.
- Build Technical Context: Partner with IDP engineering to bridge the gap between generic AI models and Adyen’s complex architecture.
- Foster Developer Autonomy: Work across the organization to bridge the gap between infrastructure and developer needs, building "LEGO-block" style abstractions that allow teams to own their pipelines and release cycles while maintaining secure, compliant guardrails.
- Validate ROI & Manage Vendors: Implement data-driven feedback loops to track adoption and measure SDLC improvements against core metrics.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product experience ideally within Platform Engineering, Developer Experience (DevEx), or AI-enabled technical products.
- Technically credible, able to confidently spar with engineers about system architecture, CI/CD pipeline constraints, and the balance between centralized governance and team autonomy.
- Master of change management, able to influence developer habits and drive adoption in highly opinionated technical environments.
- Data-driven, capable of translating subjective developer feedback and system/usage data into clear impact metrics.
- Thrive in ambiguity, able to execute quickly without waiting for perfect information and adapt quickly to new information.
