Description

SpaceXAI seeks an experienced Construction Manager for its data center in Memphis, Tennessee. The manager will lead mission-critical build efforts, oversee project execution, and collaborate with technical and construction teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with contractors, partners, and internal stakeholders as the senior construction representative.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution from pre-construction to commissioning and controls.
  • Coordinate multiple vendors for seamless communication between field and technical teams.
  • Identify and mitigate risks for high-quality delivery, safety, and operational readiness.
  • Drive progress, resolve roadblocks, and keep timelines on track.
  • Align construction schedules with broader infrastructure goals through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Guide commissioning, resolve issues efficiently, and deliver regular updates using KPIs and dashboards.
  • Ensure projects meet technical and quality standards.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and field verifications to monitor progress.
  • Manage change orders and control costs.
  • Lead site safety initiatives and foster a safety culture.
  • Adapt to evolving needs and support cross-functional partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing large-scale data center or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Expertise in construction management, commissioning, and site operations.
  • Proven ability to lead on-site and build trust with vendors and technical teams.
  • Experience managing large programs with multiple vendors and dynamic priorities.
  • Strong communication skills across disciplines.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in data center construction or highly technical facilities.
  • Familiarity with local Memphis building codes and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Comfortable working in a noisy environment.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
