Description
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.
Principal responsibilities:
- Lead solution design and hands-on technical delivery for DI products (React UI, Java/Python services, APIs, integrations).
- Own Technical solution for a project stream/module, API contracts, NFR definition and delivery, release readiness, day-to-day delivery governance, technical risk management, and stakeholder updates.
- Drive workflow/orchestration delivery and resilient long-running process patterns.
- Own delivery management: milestones, RAID, dependency management, sprint execution health, and stakeholder reporting.
- Ensure release and operational readiness: CI/CD quality gates, testing strategy, observability, runbooks, cutover/hypercare.
- Embed security and controls by design (secure APIs, secrets management, OWASP, auditability, data privacy).
- Mentor engineers through reviews, design sessions, and engineering standards.
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:
- 7+ years engineering experience with proven Tech Lead ownership on production deliveries.
- Strong React/TypeScript + Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (FastAPI/Flask), microservices, REST APIs.
- Azure cloud-native delivery, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing.
- Strong delivery governance experience: planning, estimation, dependencies, RAID, release management.
- Plus: IDP/OCR, RAG, agents, Camunda ops, Kafka/event-driven, regulated/banking experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years delivering production systems; demonstrable Tech Lead ownership across multiple releases.
- Strong in React/TypeScript and Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (FastAPI/Flask); microservices and REST APIs.
- Azure cloud-native delivery, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and quality gates.
- Strong delivery management: milestone planning, dependency mapping, RAID, change control, release execution.
- Strong security/controls mindset suitable for a regulated environment.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- IDP/OCR, RAG, agents/tool-calling, vector stores; evaluation/quality approaches.
- Camunda operational experience (monitoring, incident handling, versioning).
- Event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ), idempotency/eventual consistency.
- Prior banking/regulated delivery experience.
