Description
You will be part of our highly collaborative team in Lincolnshire, working on Highway projects for our Lincolnshire County Council Client.
As a Senior Highways Engineer or Highways Engineer, you will take on project responsibility from the outset, owning your own projects from conception to construction.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design process and delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting H&S, CDM, QA, and technical review requirements
- Managing resources effectively and efficiently to meet fluctuating workloads
- Working with clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs
- Developing relationships with other LCC and WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required
- Agreeing fees and managing the commercial position on projects
- Attending site to gather information and supervise schemes
Requirements:
- Experience in undertaking feasibility studies, design, maintenance, and supervision of highways related projects
- Experience of leading the design, management, and inspection of Highway Structures maintenance projects
- Knowledge of highway construction and delivery methods
- Knowledge of Construction Design Management 2015 and associated duties
- Excellent working knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards, methods of working, and Specification for Highway Works
- Progress towards achieving IEng status is highly regarded
