Area Manager, Homes

This role is responsible for expanding the supply of non-hotel accommodations in Malaysia, strengthening partner relationships, and improving the quality of Homes supply. The ideal Area Manager, Homes Supply has experience in the homes, hotel, or travel industry,especially online travel,and will manage accommodation partners to unlock opportunities for mutual business growth.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading the implementation of Homes market strategy in Malaysia
• Leading, inspiring, coaching, and developing teams to grow our local business
• Implementing strategies with Homes partners to enhance productivity and opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage
• Delivering on country commercial and profitability targets
• Working with market leadership on strategic planning and establishing objectives
• Developing KPIs to drive strategic priorities
• Developing and owning relationships with key decision makers at hotels, technology partners, and other local or regional partners

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• More than 7 years of professional experience in commercial roles, business development, or general management
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required; proficiency in Malay is a plus
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively as a team member
• A track record of mentoring and building results-oriented, solutions-focused teams, fostering strong collaboration and long-term partner relationships
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate direction, value propositions, and recommended solutions to external partners and internal stakeholders
• A curious mindset and the ability to adapt to change
• Creativity, innovation, and a professional get-it-done attitude
• Experience in e-commerce, online businesses, or technology is preferred; a consulting background is a plus
