Description
State Street Markets Financing Solutions division offers a range of Securities Financing products, including Agency Lending, Prime Services, Secured Financing (Repo), and Synthetic Financing (Equity Swaps). The Product Strategy team plays a crucial role in the success of the Financing Solutions organization, driving growth across the APAC region.
As a Product Strategy AVP, you will contribute to the development and delivery of product strategy, support new product implementation, manage regulatory change, and provide business solutions aligned with industry needs. You will report to the Head of Financing Solutions APAC and collaborate with various teams, including Trading, Sales, Relationship Management, Legal, Risk, Finance, Tax, Compliance, Operations, and Technology.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and drive the Financing Solutions product strategy for the APAC region
- Support cross-functional teams in designing and implementing solutions to complex business challenges
- Conduct detailed analysis with stakeholders to progress specific projects and initiatives
- Identify potential areas of risk or exposure and develop solutions to mitigate risk
- Manage project activities across multiple departments, ensuring timely delivery and structured requirements
- Contribute to defining and validating project scope, ensuring clear articulation and review of proposals
- Support due-diligence processes for new product launches and enhancements
- Develop subject-matter expertise in assigned products and initiatives
Education and preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, ideally in securities lending, repo, equity finance, or prime brokerage
- Degree level
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
- Experience supporting or coordinating projects; formal project management experience is a plus
- High attention to detail with the ability to distill and summarize key concepts for varied audiences
- Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to challenge existing processes
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape
