Job Overview

As a Senior Buyer - Body Capital Equipment and Vision Systems at Ford's Purchasing team, you will play a vital role in sourcing high-quality parts and services globally while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods, materials, components, and services.
• Expedite critical orders and proactively resolve delays to maintain production and operations schedules.
• Collaborate with Category Managers and cross-functional teams to address parts availability, inventory planning, packaging, and logistics needs.
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers on cost, quality, and service to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
• Track supplier performance and support risk management to ensure proactive issue documentation and mitigation.
• Collect and analyze supplier and market data, generating reports from enterprise systems like SAP to inform business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in CAPEX Procurement or Indirect Purchasing, specifically with Fixtures, Vision Systems & Testing.
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
• Familiarity with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid negotiation skills and comfort managing a high volume of suppliers and components.
• Ability to stay composed and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
• Strong analytical thinking and confident decision-making.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
