Trusts & Estates Associate (Mid-Level)

Ice Miller LLP is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate to join its Business Group in the Naples office.

The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of estate planning experience and work on estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, charitable planning, and trust and estate litigation.

Responsibilities include:

• Researching and learning complex rules of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax
• Preparing documents with high attention to detail, focusing on irrevocable trusts, SLAT trusts, and asset protection
• Collaborating with talented attorneys across practice groups and offices

The ideal candidate will:

• Be familiar with advanced concepts of tax and estate planning, such as irrevocable trusts, SLAT trusts, and asset protection
• Have experience with Florida estate administration and tax experience
• Excel in a team environment and be highly motivated and proactive
• Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and excellent written and oral communication skills

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Active law license in Florida
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States
