Software Engineer Intern

Logitech is seeking a talented Software Engineer Intern to join its AOSP/Android team for a 3-month internship. The intern will contribute to building and optimizing core system software for video conferencing devices.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and customization of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for video collaboration devices.
• Work across various layers of the Android software stack, including the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), framework, and system services.
• Assist in developing and maintaining system-level applications and services.
• Help integrate, configure, and troubleshoot hardware peripherals within the Android ecosystem.
• Support implementing secure and reliable device-to-cloud communication features for remote management and telemetry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and product development.
• Participate in technical reviews of system design and interface requirements.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS/MS in a relevant engineering or technical field.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in data structures and core algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and/or C++.
• Basic understanding of Android application development and/or Android system architecture.
• Object-oriented design and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Understanding of concurrency and multi-threading concepts.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems architecture and resource constraints.
• Familiarity with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms and client-server communication models.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools.
• Basic familiarity with Linux and the Bash shell at an everyday user level.
• Good verbal communication skills in English.
• A passion for exploring how software interfaces with hardware components.
