Area Manager

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for its HMO3 Fulfillment Center (FC) in Hermosillo, México.

As an Area Manager, you will focus on four key areas: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.

Key responsibilities:

• Review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet building objectives
• Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and operate efficiently
• Support safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools

You will also:

• Lead and develop a team of 100-300 hourly associates
• Ensure proper training and address needs of warehouse associates
• Take ownership of your work and team, and be available to work overtime during peak seasons
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools

Physical demands:

• Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
• Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency
• Standing/walking for up to 10-12 hours
• Working in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation

Basic qualifications:

• 1+ year of employee and performance management experience
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in oral and written communication in English
