Production Planner

HCI Systems Limited, part of the Prodrive group of companies, is seeking a dynamic Production Planner to join their team in Newport, Shropshire.

As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating production activity, ensuring materials and resources are available, and keeping production schedules on track.

The successful candidate will have experience in production planning, manufacturing administration, scheduling, or a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production in line with customer requirements and agreed delivery dates.
• Create and maintain production schedules and manufacturing orders using bespoke software.
• Monitor production progress and update schedules where priorities change.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure work is completed on time.
• Check material availability and work closely with purchasing and stores to identify potential shortages.
• Coordinate priorities across multiple customer orders and production requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records, spreadsheets and planning information.
• Communicate delivery dates and any changes to customers.
• Identify potential production delays and proactively escalate issues.
• Assist with general administration and reporting associated with production.
• Support continuous improvement of planning, processes and administrative systems.

Requirements

• Experience in production planning, manufacturing administration, scheduling, or a similar role.
• Highly organised with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while working effectively to deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous experience using an ERP/MRP system, preferably MRPeasy.
