Mobile Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our Technical Solutions team in Birmingham. As a van mobile position, you will be responsible for undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment including building fabric.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, as instructed by the Site supervisor & Contract Manager
• Closing/updating completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the site PDA computerised maintenance system
• Ensuring standards of workmanship are maintained to maximise the operation, effectiveness, and reliability of the building and associated systems
• Assisting specialist subcontractors' requirements both for PPM and reactive works
• Ensuring all site procedures are adhered to in all aspects
• Maintaining accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works
• Inspecting the condition of services and proactively dealing with call-outs/repairs as required
• Providing regular on-call cover to attend site emergencies outside of normal working hours
• Carrying out tasks within typical building environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders
• Keeping and maintaining all ABM issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner
• Proactively working towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach

Requirements:

• Experience working in a similar Retail/Commercial maintenance environment
• Familiarity with equipment such as Air Handling Units, Emergency lighting, L8 requirements, Fire Alarm Testing, and Plumbing
• City & Guilds 236/0 & 2330 Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent
• 18th Edition IEE
• L8 Awareness
