Substation P&C Designer

We are seeking a skilled Substation P&C Designer to create substation design drawing packages and necessary documents for electric power substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV. The successful candidate will utilize accepted practices and standards to ensure high-quality and safe designs.

Your Main Objective:

• Develop new or modify existing single line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings.
• Complete battery loading and voltage drop studies.
• Develop a complete bill of materials for all required electrical equipment and materials.
• Review and comment on equipment drawings received from vendors and manufacturers.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to complete assigned work.
• Assist the project team with developing processes and procedures to increase team efficiency.
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support engineering design.
• Apply relevant client, national, and state standards to each assignment as needed.

• Expertise with AutoCAD Electrical w/Substation Design Suite (SDS).
• 2+ years of direct substation Protection & Controls/Electrical design experience using CAD software on electric utility industry projects.
