Description
The London Borough of Bexley is seeking a Career Grade Building Inspector to join its Building Control team. The team delivers statutory Building Control functions and handles building regulations applications in the borough. The successful candidate will have existing building control experience and will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team that deals with all aspects of the building control function.
The role involves undertaking restricted functions and restricted activities as appropriate to the level of competency, as well as other building control related activities as required. The Council will offer necessary supervision for activities outside current competency levels to ensure continuing professional development.
The ideal candidate will have achieved Class 2 competency to at least categories A to D. The appointment will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
In return, the Council offers a competitive salary of GBP 36,372 - 51,234 per year, coaching and mentoring programmes, an excellent pension scheme, and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
