Description
We are seeking a Principal Accountant to join our Strategic Finance team at Croydon Council. As a Principal Accountant, you will be at the centre of the organisation, working with the Corporate Management Team, Directors and Heads of Service to influence decision-making and ensure the council is well positioned to respond to the opportunities and challenges facing local government.
The role involves working in a hybrid arrangement, with 36 hours of work per week. You will be part of a team that is focused on financial sustainability, growth, and regeneration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Influencing decision-making and ensuring the council's financial sustainability
- Working with the Corporate Management Team, Directors and Heads of Service
- Contributing to the achievement of the council's priorities, including getting a grip on finances, listening to residents, and delivering good sustainable services
