Description
IOM is seeking a Field and Operations Associate Consultant to support the coordination of field and data collection activities in Gaza and the West Bank.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator (NPM) in Amman and the Senior Field and Operations Associate. The role involves supervising field teams, contributing to operational planning, attending coordination meetings, compiling and verifying data, and providing inputs for project design and development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising day-to-day work of field teams in Gaza and the West Bank
- Preparing and adjusting operational implementation plans
- Attending inter-agency and cluster coordination meetings
- Compiling, verifying, and cleaning collected data
- Assisting in providing inputs for project design and development
- Organizing trainings, workshops, and capacity-building sessions for field teams and partners
- Preparing reports, briefing notes, and visual materials
- Following up on implementing partners' performance and compliance
- Undertaking duty travel related to operational implementation and data collection monitoring visits
- Deploying with field teams during emergency operations
- Contributing to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational frameworks
- Applying IOM's data protection principles and best practices
- Tracking project operational progress and expenditures
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in social sciences or equivalent with three years of relevant work experience, or a high school diploma with five years of relevant work experience. Required skills include data management, data analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Earth. Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
