Description
We are seeking a Technical Artist (Tools) to join our EA SPORTS Technology team at Electronic Arts in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This is a temporary employee position with a 12-month contract and the possibility of longer-term employment.
As a Technical Artist at EA SPORTS, you will develop pipelines, workflows, and technology innovations used by content creators across all of EA SPORTS. You will partner with development teams to build shared and scalable solutions, focusing on content production tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Develop pipelines, workflows, and technology innovations for content creators
- Partner with development teams to build shared and scalable solutions
- Focus on content production tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and workflows
- Assume ownership of technical issues and bring them to resolution
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of cinematic/games production experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field
- Effective communication with different audiences (artists, engineers, managers)
- Proficient scripting/programming in Python or C# (C++ is a bonus)
- Experience with 2D/3D art packages such as Maya, Photoshop, Houdini
- Solutions-provider with testing and debugging technical issues
- Experience with asset optimization challenges/techniques
- Willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems
- Passion for Games!
