Okta Identity Governance (OIG) is Okta's Identity Governance and Administration solution, handling critical workflows in enterprise identity, such as access requests, approvals, and entitlement enforcement.
The Senior Engineering Manager, SDET Opportunity
As Senior Engineering Manager, SDET, you'll own the quality strategy for OIG, leading 10 scrum teams with engineers in Canada, the US, and India. You'll set the testing approach for governance at enterprise scale, run multiple workstreams, and partner with engineering and product peers.
Responsibilities
- Own the quality strategy for OIG, including test approach, coverage model, automation architecture, environments, and release readiness.
- Lead, grow, and retain a distributed team of quality engineers and SDETs.
- Drive automation strategy across API, integration, and UI layers.
- Own the quality signal, including escaped defects, coverage, and time-to-detect.
- Lead scale and data-integrity testing for large-tenant campaigns and high-volume imports.
- Embed quality engineers into architecture and design reviews.
Requirements
- 10+ years in quality or test engineering, or software engineering with a quality focus.
- 4+ years managing engineers, including distributed teams and multiple workstreams.
- Hands-on depth in test automation at scale using Java, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience with CI/CD, containers, and a major cloud platform.
- Experience testing multi-tenant SaaS, including asynchronous systems and data reconciliation.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management, including SSO, SCIM provisioning, and directory integration.
- Testing in a compliance context, such as SOX, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
- Performance, scale, or resilience engineering for data-heavy enterprise workloads.

Salary Range
The annual base salary range for this position in Canada is $176,000 - $242,000 CAD.
