A little more about your role…
As an Engineer/Senior Mechanical Engineer, MEP (Rail), you will be responsible for:
- Interpreting client specification requirements in the development of designs
- Designing pipework including heating, cooling, hot and cold water systems
- Designing ventilation systems including general ventilation systems
- Selecting plant and equipment items based upon designs produced, including Air Handling Units, Fans, Pumps, Pressurisation Units, Boilers, Heat emitters, Chillers, Ductwork and ductwork ancillaries, Pipework and pipework ancillaries
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Experience of mechanical design in the Rail environment
- Qualifications meeting the requirements for Chartership with a UK Engineering Institution
- Working knowledge of:
- The design of above ground plumbing and waste systems
- The design of rainwater disposal systems
- The design of drainage systems
- The requirements of Network Rail and/or London Underground standards
- The design of controls/BMS for mechanical systems
