Description
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at Multimatic, a leading supplier of engineered components, systems, and services to the automotive industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for retrieving and monitoring assigned work center performance, maintaining, updating, and presenting monthly open issues, and participating in continuous improvement opportunities on new and existing equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ordering new equipment and coordinating its development, delivery, and integration
- Attending quote meetings and developing internal detailed costed equipment quotes
- Issuing RFQs to vendors and reviewing their quotes
- Holding open issues meetings and scheduling, documenting, and following up on tasks
- Supporting customer visits and developing capital approval packages
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate health and safety, ergonomic, and environmental requirements
- Developing process-related documentation, such as setup and changeover instructions, operator instructions, and process flow diagrams
- Investigating potential vendors for new processes, parts handling technologies, and equipment
- Working with equipment vendors to coordinate training sessions
- Participating in various program-related meetings and initiatives
Requirements:
- Canadian-issued or recognized-for-equivalency university degree or college diploma in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering/Technologist
- Mechatronics minor or experience
- P.Eng. or PMP designation
- Three to five years of working experience in a related field or discipline
- Knowledge and experience with plastics in the area of vibratory welding and injection/comolding
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary
- Self-motivated, able to make sound judgments, and work independently
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently plan day-to-day and future work activities
- Hands-on job style, being involved and helping fellow team members investigate and resolve issues
- Ability to read drawings and specifications, understand GD&T, and research requirements for clarity and correctness
We offer a competitive salary range of $57,658.00 - $107,000.00.
