Description
Electronic Arts is seeking an experienced Technical Artist to join the EA SPORTS FC studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As a Technical Artist, you will be part of the Core FC development team and work closely with artists, project managers, and software engineers to develop new and existing experiences on EA SPORTS FC.
The Technical Artist is a bridge between the artists and engineers, responsible for art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and shader development. You will be expected to assume ownership over technical issues that arise on your project and bring them to resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and existing experiences on EA SPORTS FC
- Work closely with artists, project managers, and software engineers
- Assume ownership over technical issues and bring them to resolution
- Contribute to art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and shader development
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of cinematic/games production experience
- Game engine experience in environment creation is preferred
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field is desired
- Effective communication skills with different audiences
- Extensive experience scripting/programming in Python and C#
- Knowledge of 3D art packages (Maya)
- Solutions-provider with testing and debugging technical issues
- Willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems
