Description
We are seeking a part-time Night Auditor to join our team at Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles Airport. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for balancing and closing the previous business day, completing daily financial reports, and managing person-in-charge duties during the overnight shift. You will also assist guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, while following our high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the manager-on-duty role during the 3rd shift, anticipating and responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner.
- Provide the highest level of service, processing check-ins and check-outs, verifying billing, creating reservations, and processing special requests.
- Assist guests by having knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services.
- Balance all revenue sources and complete daily financial reports.
- Process no-show reservations and prepare financial reports for managerial review.
- Close the financial day for the hotel.
- Follow proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues.
- Monitor room availability and follow restrictions and booking policies.
- Drive sales and maximize revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities.
- Produce required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with regulations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years prior guest service experience required, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Prior night audit or accounting experience preferred.
- Excellent computer knowledge and communication skills needed.
- Attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and level of education attained.
