Description
The role of this post is to provide our team with an organisational and supportive role in PET/CT imaging as well as general nuclear medicine service duties where required.
This includes developing and maintaining an efficient service with regard to carrying out PET/CT studies.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the PET/CT service manager and PET/CT technologists to provide robust service provision.
The post may also have a role in general Nuclear Medicine to help support staff rotation and to enable the post holder to maintain skills in Nuclear Medicine if preferred but this is not mandatory and can be ascertained prior to starting.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the service manager with updating the relevant Standard Operating Procedures when required and will help implement and co-ordinate, where required, any changes to the operating times such as extended service.
The main duties of the job include:
- Participating in and coordinating the running of the PET/CT day
- Assigning staff shared duties
- Arranging in-patients
- Carrying out various related administrative and data collection tasks
The role involves a significant personal responsibility for patient care and for operating complex equipment.

The salary for this post is £58,133 to £65,261 per annum.
