HSE & Environmental Officer

We are seeking an HSE & Environmental Officer to join our team at our Olmedo, Valladolid facility.

The main objective of this role is to ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health and safety (HSE) policies and legislation at our workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritise and pursue actions or problems identified in evaluations and reports related to legal requirements, hazard identification, risk assessment, and environmental impact.
• Collaborate with HR to launch training activities on occupational health and safety and develop a training plan.
• Conduct internal and external communications.
• Coordinate with external prevention services to evaluate workstations, equipment, and raw materials according to regulations.
• Supervise risk assessments carried out by external prevention services.
• Develop and implement preventive planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legislation on business activity coordination at the plant.
• Participate in the commissioning of new machinery, processes, and substances with the industrial and projects department.
• Supervise legal compliance and manage relationships with official bodies on occupational health and safety and environmental matters.
• Promote and lead the development of an annual environmental action plan.
• Lead the environmental emergency plan.
• Investigate accidents and incidents related to occupational health and safety and the environment.

Requirements:

• University degree with a Master's in Occupational Health and Safety (Safety, Ergonomics, and Psychosocial) or a university degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Technical studies in environmental sciences.
• Extensive experience in HSE in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of environmental management (ISO 14001) and occupational health and safety management (ISO 45001).
• Experience in the automotive industry is valued.
